Winter and Summer Boats in the Valley!

Closing out January, we have had quite an exciting few weeks of weather!
Of course, it is nothing like you folks in the mid-West or northern states have seen, but still, we have had snow, sleet, rain--you name it! To us, this is a true blessing from Mother Nature, as it is helping to abate some of our terrible drought and the levels of water dropping in our beautiful lakes in southern Nevada.
Venturing up to Mt. Charleston the other day, west of Las Vegas proper, the mountain was thrilled to welcome the "snow boaters!!" Yes! You saw everything from snow mobiles, skis, snow shoes, toboggans, dishes and the electric and gas powered snow sleds! These are soooo cool! Don't forget the fantastic chair lifts, and the scenery is outstanding! This is food for the heart, soul, and winter doldrums!
Families were out enjoying the fleeting beauty of the snow, which is ours alone, here in the desert areas of southern Nevada! Even though there are skis and other fantastic pleasure giving machines on the slopes, there are STILL boats on the water on Lake Mead!
